About the Job
The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role involves greeting customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, recommending maintenance and repair services, preparing estimates, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers and discuss vehicle service, maintenance, and repair needs.
  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues on repair orders.
  • Provide repair and maintenance recommendations based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle inspections.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for parts, labor, and additional services.
  • Communicate service timelines and keep customers informed of repair progress.
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow and accurate diagnoses.
  • Review completed repairs with customers and explain work performed.
  • Process payments and close repair orders.
  • Maintain detailed service records and customer information.
  • Promote preventative maintenance and service packages.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and manufacturer requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Previous automotive service advising, customer service, or automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance requirements.
  • Proficiency with service management software and computer systems.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
